For someone whose native tongue is Haitian Creole, it’s fascinating how much I love creating in the English language.
My love for journalism started when I joined my high school newspaper, The Lightning Strike, where I won two All-Florida awards from the Florida Student Press Association (FSPA). Since then, I chose to attend Florida A&M University under their SJGC program and written pieces for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, GE Aerospace, JOURNEY Magazine and The FAMUAN.
I also dabbled in the arts and culture sector with an internship at the Meek-Eaton Black Archives where I wrote press releases, managed the social media page, adapted my photography skills and learned how to merge journalism with the arts through public history.
Happy reading!
